My name is Angelia Bliss.
Originally from Texas, I have now settled in beautiful East Tennessee. My first experience as an artist was January 2021 after I had been working remotely for over a year from home due to the Covid Pandemic that started April 2020.
You could say I was needing some sort of outlet for my creative mind. Travel was a big part of my job and, with that, I could see, touch, and feel the creativity I needed to keep me grounded. After that long of a time I needed an outlet, a feeling of gratitude and expression from within myself to be able to function.
I found art!
I believe that being an artist is something that one is born to do and not only to be learned at school. I embraced that as inspiration to begin my journey and study through practical experience, learning through trial and error and self learning, studying the works of Elyse Fournier, Bonnie Keane, Karen Durishin, Sergio Aranda, Cathleen Ozmore, and others as my teachers.
It was here that I realized that I wanted to pursue it as a career.
I currently work from my Art Studio at my home in Tennessee and, so far, have focused primarily on acrylic paints, mediums, textures, and different substrates to create beautiful pieces of art, though I find myself continuosly adding to my “artist’s toolbox” of ideas and techniques.
There is SO MUCH great art that has yet to be created in this world, and I’m finding my own place in being a part of the wonderous process of bringing it into existence.
Deeper thoughts and an invitation
As I paint I am alone and in silence with the quiet tranquil freedom to create what I feel in that moment.
As I grow and learn new and different mediums and techniques I am excited to jump right in and be taken to a wonderful world and new concept of seeing things with a more open mind and opinion.
I want people who view my work to dream and dive into my art with their eyes open and minds clear of the troubles and worries of the world. Let yourself go and relax and enjoy the colors, textures, and objects you see.
I appreciate you taking the time to visit my website and invite you, if you are interested in knowing more about my creative process, to visit my YouTube Channel where I can take you along with me on my journey to discover endless possibilities of creativity and thought to canvas that are brought to life right before your eyes.
